1. Vivekananda House and Museum: It is an imposing structure on the Marina beach along the South Beach Road and is a famous tourist places in Chennai. The Government took over the building in 1930 and it was named after Vivekananda in 1963.

6. Kapaleswar Temple: This Mylapore based temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is very popular with tourists. The fragmented inscriptions go as back as 1250 AD.
