Dhanush : Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja is well known by his stage name i.e. Dhanush. He was born on 28 July 1982 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is an Indian film actor, producer, lyricist and singer. His work got popularity in Tamil cinema.  Dhanush got married  to the daughter of Rajnikanth named as Aishwarya. Dhanush’s filmography includes many successful films like Aadukalam which was released in 2011, he won the Best actor title at the National Film Awards. He received worldwide recognition by the superhit song “Why this Kolaveri Di”.

Dhanush produces his films in his own banner “Wunderbar Films” and recently released his music label Wunderbar Studios. He was debuted with the  film Thulluvadhho IIamai under the direction of Kasthurii Raja. He signed in his brother’s doctoral venture i.e. Kadhal Kondein, in which he played mentally — disturbed youth role Viondh. This film earns critical praises and was a commercial hit. In 2003, he released his net film named as Thiruda Thirudi. After that, he appeared in Pudhukottaiyilirundh Saravan which was dubbed into Telugu as Maurya. In 2004, he worked under the direction of his father in the film Dreams.

Dhanush rarely works as a playback singer and lyricist. He worked  as a playback singer in Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan. After this, he gave his voice in many numbers of Selvaraghavan’s films like Aayirathil Oruvan and Mayakkam Enna. But as a playback singer he got popularity in the song “Why this Kolaveri Di” from his film 3, which is directed by his wife. This song made him as a star and gained awesome response. CNN announced this song as a “Top Song of 2011”. Dhanush is debuting in Bollywood with the film “Raanjhanaa”. it is a romantic Hindi film, directed by Anand L. Rai.
